Easter Weekend Recap
So a few weeks ago we decided we needed to go visit Matt’s Uncle who has a house in Jupiter, FL. He lives in Connecticut normally, but has this house here in FL that he visits a couple months out of the year. We picked the last weekend in March before I realized that it was Easter weekend. Matt’s side of the family is Jewish so they don’t do Easter. On my side we were just going to have dinner together on Sunday night, so no problem doing bother this weekend.
On Saturday around lunch time we headed out on our trip. Jupiter’s about 2.5 hours from our house here in Central Florida. and pretty much straight down I95 so it wasn’t a bad drive at all (especially for me because I slept for about half of it each way!).
Once we arrived at Marty’s house we set our stuff down and then headed out on the short 10 min walk to the beach. We walked down the beach for a while and it was beautiful out!! The stretch of beach by his house is the only part where dogs are allowed and so it was so much fun watching all the dogs enjoying the water and sun.
After our very relaxing time spent at the beach we headed to the Square Grouper Tiki Bar for a drink. (random trivia: a square grouper is apparently came from the drug smuggling boats that when caught would throw the drugs over board and since they were packed in square blocks they were named “square grouper”).
We enjoyed our drinks looking at this beautiful view across the inlet waters!
After all that was finished it was dinner time so we headed to a Japanese buffet that Marty had discovered. I’ve never seen a Japanese buffet but it was amazing. It included sushi and not just California rolls like some buffet that claim they have sushi, but good sushi that actually had fish in them!! We proceeded to stuff ourselves beyond full!

After dinner we contemplated going to get ice cream, but as much as I LOVE ice cream there just was NO WAY!! We headed back to the house and relaxed in the hot tub. It was a very relaxing evening.
Sunday Morning we slept in and then headed out to get breakfast. The original place Marty wanted to take us was closed because of Easter, so we ended up at Ihop. After a good breakfast we walked one of the boardwalks next to the inlet waters. It was beautiful!! The water down there is so blue and clear. I wish it was still that blue along the beaches up here, but no such luck.
After our walk it was time to head back home. It was so pretty down there I told Matt to let Marty know if he ever needed someone to check on his house while he’s back up North to call us!! haha
We set off on our way back home and again it was a quick trip for me. I woke up from my nap and we were back!! We were having dinner at my parents house for Easter and we needed to pick up Lucky. My mom grilled up a delicious feast and we had a great time with everyone there also.

Hope you guys all had a great holiday weekend as well. Now it’s back to work and the usual program. Well at least until the end on next week when we set off on our next adventure. We’ll be headed up to Detroit for my cousins wedding!!
