Last Sunday we stopped by my Parent’s house so that Matt could mow the lawn and I tried to clean up the garage a little. They are like pack rats over there an everything they don’ t know what to do with, every piece of antiques my mom gets with her good intentions of fixing up, or every old National Geographic my Dad can’t part with all ends up in the middle of the garage. I put some of it in the attic and some of it found homes on shelves and such.
My Mom was on her way home from Tampa where she had been all weekend with her Sister who had back surgery. After a stressful and emotional weekend I’m sure the last thing she wanted to do after the drive home was lawn work, so we took care of that for here. My Aunt still has a long way to go to recover from her dual back surgeries so any prayers are appreciated!
That’s my Aunt with me before my wedding.
After all our much appreciated hard work we sat around in the backyard with my Mom and the pups. We wanted to give Lucky plenty of time to run, play and tire himself out. My Mom was nice enough to make up some egg sandwiches for lunch. Yum!
The Chef
So it doesn’t look that appetizing, but it was yummy!
Zoey is a spoiled little Baby
Lucky on the way home. He likes to sit right where he can stick his face
in the air vent and hog all the cold air.
Monday like always was back to work with the Kiddies. The week really flies by working there because you’re so busy all the time. I never find myself watching the clock. The kids are all super cute also, so that makes it easy as well!
Tuesday I forgot to put on my wedding rings before leaving the house. Not really such a big deal but I love then and like wearing them. It always feels awkward when I don’t have them outside of the house. Also I always have random thoughts like “Oh great watch today be the day our house is broken into and their stolen all because I forgot to put them on!” Hahaha so dramatic, yes I know!
See how sad my hand looks with out them!! 🙁
Wednesday night, just like all weeknights, I spent hanging out on the couch with my boys!! Sounds boring but we love our boring life!!
Seriously how cute are these two??
Lucky is so CUTE when he does his little hound dog howl!! Here he is howling with Daddy!!
Friday night we had planned to take on the Endless Shrimp at Red Lobster with Ameen, but like always he bailed at the last minute!! However the rest of us still went and we throughly stuffed ourself full of various types of shrimp. It was fun and we had a great time with Tammy, Jeb and Sloanie!! Afterwards picked up Lucky from my parent’s how where he had spent the day playing with Zoey and Jerimiah. We spent the rest of our night laying in bed watching TV.
Yummy Shrimp! This was round 1.
OMG! I Die!! How Beautiful is that little face!!
Relaxing
Saturday was my long run day for my marathon training. That’s a whole post in it’s self that I will post soon. My marathon is only 70 days away!! Holy Moly!! I’m excited for it but a little scared at the same time. I know I’ll finish, that I’m not worried about- I’m worried about not finishing last and whether I’ll meet my personal goal of finishing in 5 hours or less.
Today has been like every other Sunday, a lazy day! We woke up at 10ish and I made a very delish breakfast of eggs and bacon. The highlight of our day so far has been our trip to Bed, Bath and Beyond to get our new Keurig! I’m so excited about this for neumorous reasons!! We never got one before now because I thought it just made coffee, I just recently discovered that you can also make iced coffee, hot tea, apple cider, cold tea and while browsing amazon for k-cups I saw the even have sweet tea!! Who knew it was so handy!! I’m most excited about the iced coffee, because I have been trying forever to make my own iced coffee at home and every time I get it wrong!! I end up just throwing it down the sink and pouting!! haha.
There it is!!
We also stocked up on lots of different coffee and tea!!
Brewing my first cup of iced coffee!! It was great!!
The best part is that we still had gift cards from our wedding to use and some money left on a $200 rewards card I got from my credit card reward points!! Plus we used on of those 20% off coupons that always comes in the mail which saved us $25!! After all of that we ended up only having to pay .77 cents!! Can’t beat that and we will definitely be getting plenty of use out of our Keurig. Big shout out to anyone who gave us Bed, Bath and Beyond gift cards!! Thanks!!
On our way home we stopped into Cavallari’s to get a sub for lunch. It’s this cute little specialty market and deli right down the street from our house. They have all kinds of cool stuff you can get and take home to cook or grill for dinner, everything from stuffed hamburgers and steaks to stuffed portobello mushrooms and everything in between. They all kinds of specialty beers and sodas. We ended up getting a jerk chicken ranch sub and it was quite spicy but good.
Overall it was a great week and even better weekend!! Ready to start another great week tomorrow, but for now I suppose I’ll head outside and work in the yard a little. Hey it was the first day of fall yesterday and the temps cooled down to a refreshing 88 degrees today!! I suppose I should take that since it’s better then the 100 degrees we’ve been suffering through lately!!
I know I comment on this every time… But you are running a marathon!!! In 70 days!!! You are so awesome.
Now stop leaving your wedding bad at home, married woman! 🙂
