A little this, A little that
Our last week has flown by!! It goes by so much faster now that I’m working and the work is enjoyable. This was my second week working at The Learning Experience and I. LOVE. IT!!! I mean I pretty much get to play all day with cute kids, how could I not enjoy it!
Sunday involved a trip to Target for some necessities and a little refreshment from Starbucks! I haven’t been to Starbucks in probably a year! It was such a treat to get a frappuccino on such a hot day!!
I normally wouldn’t get such a large size but I knew Matt would drink
2/3 of it when I got home and it was cheaper then getting two! haha
We also went on a afternoon walk on the trail with Lucky!
On Monday our house guest, Amina, finally got to go home and be with her Daddy. We were happy to watch her, but definitely not completely sad to see her head home. She’s a hand full sometimes because she’s not happy unless she sitting in someone’s lap. Lucky for me she loves Matt and pretty much just follows him around and sits in his lap no matter what he’s doing! The few times she wasn’t in his lap she was sleeping on the pillows in the living room.
Doesn’t he look thrilled to have company while playing his computer game!
Taking a nap
Monday was also the first day we tried out letting Lucky stay in the hallway while we were at work instead of in his den in our room. He has a history of being able to escape the den and then in his anger he pees on the bed and terrorizes the room. I figured the hallway was a safe place that he can’t escape cause there are door on both ends. I also put a pillow in there as a test because we have 4 of them and don’t really need that many. The test was because he likes to rip up pillows to get to the fluff inside. I figured if he ripped up this particular one it wouldn’t be a big deal because we have so many of them.
Day 1: That blur in the bottom left is Lucky jumping around!
He almost made it a whole week! Matt came home on Thursday to
find this parade of clouds in the hallway!
I spent the middle of the week working on my marathon training which included doing 3 miles on Tuesday, 6 miles on Wednesday, and 3 miles on Thursday. Monday and Friday are rest days. Saturday I put on my new work out shirt and knocked out my designated 12 miles. I did 10 miles inside on the treadmill and the last 2 I did outside with Lucky and Matt. It’s finally cooling off some and I would like to do more outdoor running but I need to get a gps watch to track my miles first. I have the nike plus shoes and the apps on my phone that do the tracking but I don’t think they’re quite accurate and they drain the power and I don’t want to be left with no music to listen too! Ahhhhhhhh it’s so boring to run in silence!
Don’t be fooled- The time on this treadmill only goes up to 99 min and then resets itself, I did not do 10 miles in 51 min!! If I was that fast I would have run a marathon a long time ago!!
My new shirt from Ruffles with Love on etsy! I love it and just ordered another
one with a different saying on it
After I finished all that training and ate lunch I headed straight for the shower and to bed for a nap! My poor legs needed to rest. I wasn’t the only one worn out from exercise ’cause I had a cute little napping buddy!
So happy to not be moving!
My nap buddy!
OMG that pillow disaster was hilarious. Sorry probably not for you – but that was too much. I haven't been to starbucks in over a year either – and I am craving a pumpkin spiced latte. Best of luck on the marathon training you are doing AWESOME!
